How Do I Install Autodesk Software (AutoCAD, Fusion360, Maya, Revit on my Personal Computer?
Once you have downloaded the installer for your Autodesk software, you will need to install the app. This article will help you install Autodesk software.
Prerequisites
- Autodesk account with your Sask DLC email
- Autodesk Installer
Instructions to Install Autodesk Software
Step 1
Locate and double click on the installer that you downloaded from Autodesk. If you just downloaded it, the installer may be listed in your recent downloads in your browser. If you find the installer in your downloads folder, double click on the installer icon.

Step 2
For Windows: Double-click the ".exe" file that was downloaded in step 1 to start the installation. You may need to run the small installer first to create the full installer in your downloads folder. (If you are installing on a MacOS computer, mount the downloaded ".dmg" file and run the installer from there.) If a User Account Control window pops up, click 'Yes' to allow the installation.

Step 3
When step 2 completes, click 'Next' to proceed.

Step 4
Make sure that the installation folders are correct. If you need to change the folder to which the software will be installed, click on the appropriate three dots button. For most users, however, the default file paths will be correct. Then click 'Install'.

Step 5
Depending on your computer and the software being installed, the installation process may take several minutes.

Step 6
When the installation has completed, click 'Start' to launch the registration process.

Step 7
A window will pop up saying 'Let's Get Started'. Click 'Sign in with your Autodesk ID'.

Step 8
Your default web browser will open to a log in page. Enter your Sask DLC Microsoft 365 email address and password if asked to sign in. Then click 'Open Product.'

Step 9
If your browser asks to open the Autodesk Identity Manager, select 'Open' to launch your Autodesk software. Otherwise, run your Autodesk software from the start menu.

Troubleshooting
- These instructions are for students installing this software on personal computers only.
- If you require Autodesk software installed on a device owned by your school, you will need to contact your school division's tech support personnel and request to have the software installed according to their policies.
- If you need to install Autodesk software on a laptop provided by the Sask DLC, submit a support request by sending an email to helpdesk@saskdlc.ca.
- AutoCAD, Revit, and Fusion360 are available for Windows computers only.
- Maya is available for Windows and Mac OS.
