Setting up Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone
To provide an added layer of security, you would need to download the Microsoft authenticator app on your phone.
If you are an Apple IOS user, you can find the app in the App Store. For Android users, please visit the Play Store to download the authenticator app.
When prompted to set up the authenticator app, after you confirm you have the app downloaded, open the app and at the top right corner of the app, click the + sign.
Select Work or school account and select Scan QR code
Then scan the QR code by pointing your phone camera at the QR code on your screen, your account would be registered and show up on the authenticator app
A number would appear on your screen, type that number in the app
You would be prompted to add a phone number to add an additional authentication option.
Please Note: if you change the country code to Canada and start to enter your phone number it would revert to United States, please ignore and proceed to enter your number and hit next, and you would receive a code on your phone (Text). Enter the code (6 digits) you received and click next to complete phone number verification.
