What is Cengage Aplia/MindTap?
Cengage is a textbook publishing company that provides educational content and learning modules for the Accounting 10 and 20 courses at the Sask DLC. Students in these courses will use the Cengage site to access their textbook readings and learning activities and assessments.
How can I access the Cengage Aplia/MindTap content in my Accounting 10 or 20 course?
Your teacher will send you an access code that will give you access to the etext or the learning modules. You must register and activate your account using the access code before you can access any Cengage Aplia/MindTap activities in the course. How will I access the textbook readings for Accounting 10/20?
Each lesson has a link to the specific etext reading for that lesson. Clicking the link will take you to the assigned section on the Cengage site. You must access the readings from the links in the Sask DLC course site. Do not attempt to log in directly to the Cengage site.
How will I access the Cengage Aplia/MindTap learning activities for Accounting 10/20?
When you reach an assessment that requires the use of Aplia, click the link from your online course page. The Aplia activity will open in a new tab.
Is there anything else I should know about accessing Aplia?
Do not link to or go straight to Aplia and click on assignments. You must always start from DLCgo and use the links within the course. Read all instructions carefully to ensure all parts of your assignments are fully completed before submitting them for grading.
How long is the Cengage Aplia/MindTap access valid?
Your access to the etext and learning modules Aplia accounting software for Accounting 10 and 20 are valid for the duration of your course. You will be able to access these materials on MindTap as long as you are enrolled in the course with Sask DLC. If you take a subsequent course, such as Accounting 20, or choose to retake the course in the future, your access code is valid for up to three activations. For example, if you take Accounting 10 with Sask DLC, then take Accounting 20, you will have used two activations and will not need another access code.
Is the Cengage Aplia/MindTap access transferable?
No, once MindTap is activated, the unique redemption code is connected to your Sask DLC user account and cannot be transferred to another student.
